Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Realnaps is a trading name of REALNAPSBET Limited, a company incorporated in the Federal Republic of Nigeria with registration number 1634076. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about privacy at support@realnaps.com.

2. What we collect

When you create an account with your email:

• your full name and email address;
• your password, which we only ever store as a one-way encrypted hash. We can't see or recover your actual password;
• the email address of the person who invited you, if you choose to give it;
• when you confirmed you are 18 or older and agreed to our terms, when you verified your email, and when you last signed in.

When you sign up or sign in with Google: your name, email address and Google's ID for your account. Google never shares your Google password with us.

When you use the website:

• your IP address, used to limit repeated failed sign-in attempts and to protect accounts;
• standard technical information our web server records, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request;
• a sign-in session cookie (see Cookies).

When you contact us: the content of your message and your contact details.

We don't collect payment card details on these pages, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers on them.

3. How we use it

• To create and run your account, and to let you sign in.
• To send account emails: your verification code, a welcome message and password reset links. We don't send marketing emails unless you've agreed to receive them.
• To keep accounts and the service secure, for example by pausing sign-in after repeated wrong passwords, and to prevent fraud and automated abuse.
• To credit the person who referred you, if you tell us who that is.
• To answer your questions and requests.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We don't sell your personal information.

4. Our legal reasons

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other laws that may apply, we rely on:

• Contract: to provide the account and service you signed up for;
• Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure and prevent abuse, in ways that don't override your rights;
• Consent: where we ask for it, which you can withdraw at any time;
• Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or share information.

5. Who we share it with

We only share personal information with organisations that help us run the service, and only as much as they need:

• Our hosting provider, InMotion Hosting, which runs the servers that store our website, account database and email.
• Google, for reCAPTCHA on the signup form (to tell people from automated bots), for "Sign in with Google" if you use it, and for the fonts on our pages. Google's use of this information is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

Betting sites such as SportyBet and BetKing are separate companies. Information you give them is covered by their own privacy policies.

6. Where it is stored

Our hosting provider and Google may store and process information outside Nigeria, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act allows for such transfers.

7. How long we keep it

• Account information is kept while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except anything we must keep by law.
• Sign-in security records (counts of failed attempts by email and IP address) are kept only as long as needed to protect accounts.
• Signup details you entered but didn't finish verifying are held only in your temporary session on our server, are never saved to an account, and are discarded when the session expires.
• Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

8. Cookies

On our sign-up, sign-in and account pages we set one essential cookie, a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects our forms. It is deleted when you close your browser. These pages work only with it, so it can't be switched off.

The signup page also loads Google reCAPTCHA, which may set its own cookies to tell people from bots. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Reading this policy or our terms sets no cookies.

9. Keeping it safe

Our pages are served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, sign-in attempts are limited, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password you don't use anywhere else.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct anything that's wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your information or close your account;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information;
• ask for your information in a portable format;
• withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email support@realnaps.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm it's you before acting. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

11. Under-18s

Realnaps is only for people aged 18 or older. We don't knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we'll close the account and delete the information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll take reasonable steps to let you know, for example by email.
